Welcome from the President

The Baker Institute Student Forum was created in 2002 in order to provide a link between the student body and the Baker Institute. Through a variety of events, the student forum provides opportunities for Rice students to explore current policy issues and lend a meaningful voice to our nation's discourse. Our programming spans from informal student debates about policy to intimate lectures with renowned Baker Institute fellows, from an online platform for students to propose and comment on policy to an annual policy competition. Our members share a curiosity about vexing policy challenges, articulate diverse perspectives, and are willing to test new ideas in exciting, welcoming forums. I look forward to seeing you at our next event or reading your latest article on our blog.
